121Ethiopia.org is a project working in Ethiopia, with the purpose of improving the lives of many of the country's unfortunate children.
We are a very small group of professionals from various fields, and we purposely work on a modest scale, which allows us to follow every step of our aid projects. This ensures that donations are spent as effectively as possible. We put a good deal of effort into securing the quality of every single project, and we always aim for maximum impact on the lives of those we help.
121Ethiopia.org has no expensive administration, since everybody involved in the organisation has offered his or her services free of charge. This ensures that every cent of every dollar from donors is spent on the work in Ethiopia.
We also make demands on the communities we help, in exchange for our support, enlisting the commitment and active participation of local government and other authorities. We do this, not only to ease the integration of the NGO structure, but also in order to give the people in and around the projects a sense of responsibility for their 'share' that may generate local pride and self-esteem.
Ethiopia is among the poorest countries in the world, with a life expectancy of 49, and many children are left without families - and thus with no love, support or future.
These children are the seeds of Africa's future. 121Ethiopia.org welcomes all contributions, however small, and guarantees that they will have the greatest impact per dollar in this neglected area. More information on our projects and on how to support us is available on this site.
